The College has a canteen within the campus for the refreshment of the teaching , non teaching staff and students of the college. The College canteen management committee looks after concerns like maintenance of the canteen, quality of food etc. The canteen remains open during the working hours.
A Girls’ hostel has been constructed in the college campus ,with the financial assistance of UGC. It has started functioning from August, 2015. The accommodation capacity of the hostel is 24.
Swahid Dhanbar Das Auditorium,North Gauhati college is equipped with all the necessary amenities and facilities. Besides holding programmes and functions of the college, the auditorium is also given for use to the public for hosting programmes beneficial for the community.
The college has a big well maintained playground where football and cricket matches are held regularly. Inter College Volley ball competition in memory of late Ratnajyoti Sarma is hosted every year. There is a Community Stage in the playground, where besides the college the nearby community also holds functions and other activities. Moreover, a indoor stadium is also under construction.
The College has installed an Automatic Weather Station (AWS) sponsored by ASTEC. Student, teacher, researcher, officials and general public can access data related to climate and weather of this locality through this station.
The college has a water tank which earns revenue for the college.
The college has N.C.C. units for both boys and girls in separate wings. A candidate can enroll as a cadet after filling up the required forms available with the teacher in charge concerned. A substantial number of NCC cadets have scaled great heights. The mission of Senior Division (SD) NCC platoon is to build the students up as responsible citizen with adequate knowledge of discipline, self-defense training, knowledge about disaster management, social responsibilities etc.
The College has an NSS cell also. A candidate can enroll as volunteer by filling up required form available with the Programme Officer of the College.

The cooperative society functions in a room attached to the auditorium of the college. The teaching and non- teaching staff are members and share holders of the co-operative. Stationery items including pen, pencil, note books, paper etc. are made available to the students, teachers and staff of the college at a subsidized rate.
Student related information are regularly displayed on the Notice Board placed in front of the office building.
The college has two Xerox centres. Students, teachers and employees of the Institution can avail the facility at a subsidized rate.
There are provisions of educational tour and field work for the students of the college.
The Career Guidance cell of North Gauhati college has been organizing various workshops, career fairs, personality development camps and orientation programmes on a regular basis for the benefit of the students. It also imparts counseling on various career options that a student should take up after Higher Secondary or graduation. The highlight of the programmes of 2015-16 is the workshop on law as a career option where our HS student Ms.Dikhita Bora got selected for free coaching facilities. Now she has passed the all India level CLAT with good ranks and has become eligible for five years of free education with all facilities.
Yoga cell was established in August 2014 with members from both the students and teaching faculty of the college. The main objective of the cell is to make students and people of the area aware of the importance of Yoga not only as a man-making, nation-building instrument but also as a tool for international peace, harmony and unity. The cell organizes training programmes on Yoga, Pranayama, Meditation as well as lectures and popular talks.
The club was formed in June, 2015 with a nodal officer and members from teaching faculty and students. The main objectives are to reduce new HIV infection among youth as well to reduce discrimination and stigma against people living with HIV/AIDS, to promote voluntary non-remunerated blood donation. It also aims at motivating youth and building their capacity as peer educator and agents of change.
The college has opened a disaster management cell in 2012 with an aim of creating awareness and readiness necessary to face natural calamities, among the students, teachers and staff of the college. The cell arranges training programmes in the college with the help of district management department and other organizations.
A student welfare fund has been established in the college to provide some financial assistance to students coming from economically weaker section of the society. The welfare fund-committee determines the quantum of aid every year after considering all aspects.
